GPSA has developed an internship program to support university students in gaining valuable work experience while completing formal study.
We offer interns an opportunity to develop communications, policy and research skills which can be readily applied in future graduate roles.
The internship placements may be offered in the form of either:
- Paid work experience offered to undergraduate students seeking industry placements to qualify for graduation in a relevant discipline; or
- Unpaid supervision of postgraduate students who are completing a masters degree by coursework on a thesis topic relevant to GPSA.
GPSA extends a range of professional development opportunities to its interns once they are accepted into the program. This includes mentoring from industry leaders and the chance to attend committee meetings, field days and other industry events throughout the year.
Want to find out more about the benefits of a GPSA internship? Read more about the program in the summer 2020 edition of Grain Producer.
The program was developed in consultation with the University of Adelaide. GPSA encourages students to contact their relevant academic service to ensure the internship meets individual course requirements.
From time-to-time GPSA may call for specific applications to meet workforce needs, however we accept expressions of interest from suitably qualified students throughout the academic year.
Undergraduate internship - applications now open, closing on 7 April 2021
