Red and green tape reduction
Oct 28, 2016
The issue
Red and green tape is an inhibitor to productivity gains. The reduction of red and green tape is the second highest rated priority raised in GPSA’s annual grain producers survey. At recent GPSA forums around the state, many attendees agreed that red and green tape cause more stress to grain producers than climate change.
The 90 Day Project – A Modern Transport System for Agriculture provides an excellent forum for some of these concerns to be addressed.
GPSA’s position
GPSA is encouraging government to progress the issues raised in the 90 day project. There are still significant productivity gains for the state in tackling some of these issues and GPSA offers its resources in assisting government in prioritising high pay-off projects.
