Angaston Ag Bureau call for donations re Angaston-Springton fires 16/12/14

18/12/2014 - CALL FOR ASSISTANCE: The Angaston Ag Bureau is calling for fodder, agistment and fence crews to assist those burnt in the Angaston and Springton fires last Tuesday 16 December.
To assist, Livestock SA and Grain Producers SA are asking members close to the Barossa if they are able to assist with either donations of fodder or offers of agistment.
Anyone wishing to donate feed or to offer agistment is asked to ring Livestock SA on 8297 2299 or email admin@livestocksa.org.au.

DPTI Brochure: “Avoid a downhill disaster”

DPTI 8 December 2014.  DPTI issued the attached brochure with the following email message:

"On 18 August 2014, a fatal crash occurred at the intersection at the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway in Adelaide involving an out of control truck.
As a result, I am writing to remind all truck and bus drivers have a legal responsibility to comply with Australian Road Rule 108 when driving down a steep road. That is, you must use a low enough gear to limit the speed of the vehicle without using the primary (foot) brake.

Media Release: GPSA remembers industry stalwart Jeff Arney

GRAIN Producers SA is honouring the industry contribution of Bordertown grain grower Jeff Arney, who died at the weekend after a long battle with illness.
 
Chief executive officer Darren Arney says Jeff was a stalwart of the grain industry, and the countless hours he spent at work in the agropolitical scene on behalf of growers had improved and prospered every grain grower in South Australia.

PIRSA-PPSA announce 90-day transport project
