Grower attendance encouraged at GPSA annual meeting
South Australian grain growers keen to know how their interests are being represented at a state and national level are encouraged to attend the Grain Producers SA annual general meeting.
The AGM will be held at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre in Hahndorf on Monday, August 23.
GPSA Chair Adrian McCabe says the meeting will be an important opportunity for growers to be updated on their representative organisations’ positions on key industry issues.
“Not only will growers hear from GPSA about various industry undertakings, but there will also be reports from the South Australian Grain Industry Trust and Grain Producers Australia,” Mr McCabe said.
“The annual meeting also gives those attending a voice. They can ask questions and seek out more information, and our producer members attending have the right to vote.”
If required, a proxy voting form is accessible on request by phoning GPSA on 1300 734 884.
The GPSA and Livestock SA AGMs were originally planned to coincide with GROWING SA on August 23, which has since been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The two meetings, however, will go ahead on that date to meet governance requirements.
The GPSA AGM will be held from 11am-1pm, followed by the Livestock SA AGM from 2pm-4pm. Arrangements will follow COVID-19 management guidelines.
