Sponsorship Opportunity: International Rural Women’s Conference 2015

Grain Producers SA will sponsor two female South Australian grain producers to attend the International Rural Women’s Conference 23-24 March 2015 in Adelaide. The Conference offers a local to global perspective on issues confronting women in the world’s rural areas - as well as building strategies for change in areas including globalisation, trade, sustainable development and food security.

The Conference has an amazing range of speakers focusing on 4 key themes, at the international, national and local level.

  • Food Security
  • Women Influencing Agribusiness
  • Technology Inspiring Innovative Change
  • Health and Well-being of Rural Communities

Each sponsorship includes the conference registration ($445), conference gala dinner, travel and accommodation allowance.  Recipients need to pay any other expenses outside of the conference.

Entry criteria:

  • Applicants must be available to travel to Adelaide, March 23-24 for the two-day event.
  • Applicants must be a South Australian grain producer.
  • Applicants must submit an expression of interest in attending the International Rural Women’s Conference (up to 250 words) outlining why they would like to attend the Conference, their experiences as a woman in the grain industry and why they would benefit from attending the International Rural Women’s Conference.
  • Entries will be assessed by GPSA.
  • Applications close at 5pm on Tuesday, 10th March, 2015.
