Regional Capability Community Fund - NOW AVAILABLE

Jun 26, 2015

Funding available for FARM FIRE UNITS

While community and emergency service volunteers in rural, regional or remote areas are resourceful and innovative, the Regional Capability Community Fund (RCCF) has been made available over the next four years to increase the level of support for the unique safety, communication and resources required to enhance this front line response at community level.

Grants of between $500 and $5,000 are now available to assist communities to be better prepared to respond to an emergency incident in their local environment with a focus on the unique safety, communication and resources needed within individual communities.

Owners and operators of farm fire units, community groups, local government and local emergency service agencies in rural, regional and remote communities at high risk of fire, flood, extreme weather and other emergency incidents are encouraged to apply.

The application process is competitive and allocation will consider the geographical placement of proposed items; access to and distance from Emergency Services and other resources that provide benefit to the wider community.

Round closes for Applications on Friday 24 July 2015.
