Pinery Fire primary producers grants

Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Assistance Grants for Primary Producers are available to eligible primary producers who:
- suffered direct damage as a result of the Pinery bushfire on 25 November 2015
- are intending to re-establish their primary production businesses.
Up to $10,000 is available under the recovery grants, which are jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian governments. The grants are intended to provide short-term, targeted assistance by reimbursing clean-up and reinstatement costs that are not covered by insurance.

Pre-sowing strategies to boost yields, business and health
The Grains Research & Development Corporation is pleased to be hosting the Farming After Fire workshop… This FREE workshop, for farmers and advisers, will explore sowing seed into bare soils, herbicide efficacy in burnt soils, weed management post fire and managing soil health. The workshop will also cover farm business insurance, machinery payment structures for replacements and tips for thriving after fire.
The workshops will be held in Mallala and Freeling.
